- "Student" refers to the person attending the classes or using our resources.

- "Parent/Guardian" refers to the person purchasing products or services on behalf of a student under the age of 18.

- "Digital Resources" refers to any downloadable or online educational materials, including but not limited to PDF booklets, study guides, courses, masterclasses and future digital products.

Internet & Technical Requirements

Our weekly online Maths classes are delivered live via Zoom.

It is the responsibility of the student or parent/guardian to ensure that:

- A reliable internet connection is available for every class.

- The student has access to a suitable laptop or tablet and a digital writing device where required.

- Zoom is installed and functioning correctly before the class begins.

- The student logs in punctually via our Student Portal.

- Google Drive, or any other relevant online platform, are accessed prior to the class.

LC Maths by Dr Áine Nolan cannot accept responsibility for classes missed or disrupted due to internet connectivity issues, equipment failure or technical difficulties on the student's side.

Students are expected to log into each class a few minutes before the scheduled start time to allow any potential technical issues to be resolved before teaching begins. Regular late arrival may disrupt the learning experience for both the student and the rest of the class.

Student Behaviour

Our classes are designed to provide a positive, supportive and respectful learning environment where every student has the opportunity to participate and progress.

Students are expected to:

- Treat the teacher and other students with courtesy and respect.

- Arrive on time and be ready to participate at the scheduled class start time.

- Participate appropriately during classes.

- Follow any instructions provided during lessons.

- Use the online classroom responsibly.

Where behaviour significantly disrupts the learning experience of other students, LC Maths by Dr Áine Nolan reserves the right to remove the student from the class.

In cases of serious or repeated unacceptable behaviour, a student's place in the programme may be withdrawn at the sole discretion of LC Maths by Dr Áine Nolan.

Where a student's place is withdrawn due to unacceptable behaviour or repeated breaches of these Terms & Conditions, no refund of any fees paid will be provided.

Students are not permitted to record any live class or share any part of a class or any Class Materials with any third party without prior written permission.

We are committed to providing a welcoming, respectful and supportive environment for every student and appreciate the cooperation of both students and parents in helping us maintain this standard.

Weekly Online Maths Classes

Class Calendar

The scheduled teaching dates for each academic year are published on our group class page.

Parents and students are encouraged to refer to the class calendar throughout the academic year.

While every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule, LC Maths by Dr Áine Nolan reserves the right to make reasonable changes where necessary. Any changes to the published class calendar will be communicated to parents and students as soon as reasonably practicable.

Annual Membership Option

An Annual Membership may be offered at the beginning of the academic year.

Where an Annual Membership is purchased online, any statutory cancellation rights available under applicable consumer law will apply.

If classes have commenced before a cancellation request is received, any refund may be adjusted to reflect the value of the classes and services already provided.

Following the expiry of the applicable statutory cancellation period, Annual Membership fees are non-refundable.

The current payment options for each class group are displayed on our group class page at the time of booking.

Ongoing Monthly Memberships

All new students begin on a temporary weekly class subscription. This allows students to join quickly at any time of the month. All students automatically transfer to a Monthly Membership on the next monthly billing cycle.

The current fees for each class group are displayed on our group class page at the time of booking.

As places are limited to six students per class, your child's monthly membership secures their place in their chosen class. This allows us to keep groups small and maintain the personalised level of teaching, guidance and feedback provided.

Regular attendance allows students to benefit fully from the structured teaching, practice and personalised feedback provided and to make meaningful progress in their Maths skills and confidence over time.

The Monthly Membership includes:

- Weekly live online Maths classes during scheduled teaching weeks.

- Small-group tuition (maximum of six students per class).

- Personalised weekly feedback and guidance.

- Weekly homework to reinforce class learning and promote independent problem-solving.

- Class Materials and other learning resources appropriate to each lesson. As some lessons focus primarily on guided problem-solving and discussion to develop independent thinking skills, Class Materials vary from week to week. Maths is best learned through active problem-solving, therefore some lessons may focus primarily on worked examples, exam questions and guided practice rather than written notes.

- Email support for students between classes. Parents/guardians are welcome to email if they have any queries.

- Regular email/Whatsapp updates for parents or guardians.

- Written feedback at Christmas and Summer.

Monthly subscriptions renew automatically on the first of each month unless cancelled in accordance with our cancellation policy. The last monthly payment for the academic year is on the 1st of May.

Parents can cancel their monthly membership if they no longer wish their child to continue with classes. Cancelling is very straightforward. Details are provided after registration and all billing amendments / cancellations can be done easily within our Student Portal.

If you have any further questions, please contact us using our contact form.

Trial Classes and Joining Mid-Month

Where places are available, students may use their first weekly class as a trial class before committing to an ongoing Monthly Membership.

Classes can be booked here, subject to availability.

If there is no space in the class of your choice you can register your interest and join our waitlist here.

Students joining after the beginning of a subscription period will pay a weekly fee for the remaining scheduled classes in that month before moving to the regular Monthly Membership.

Your first weekly payment will be collected on the day that you join, with further payments collected every seven days.

Places in classes are limited and cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received.

A minimum one-month commitment is required after the trial class.

Parents can cancel their subscription after their trial class if they no longer wish their child to continue with classes. Cancelling is very straightforward. Details are provided after registration and all billing amendments / cancellations can be done easily within our Student Portal.

If you have any further questions, please contact us using our contact form.

Attendance

Students are expected to attend classes regularly, arrive on time and be ready to participate.

As classes are delivered in small groups, punctual attendance is important to minimise disruption for both the teacher and the other students.

If a student knows in advance that they will be unable to attend a class, we kindly ask that reasonable notice is given where possible. Please email me to let me know at [email protected]

Students who are unable to attend a class will receive any Class Materials, homework and learning resources provided for that lesson, enabling them to catch up before the following class. As classes are delivered live in small groups, missed classes cannot be carried forward, refunded or exchanged for another class, product or service. As some lessons focus primarily on guided problem-solving and discussion, Class Materials vary from week to week.

Students are welcome to email questions relating to missed work or homework to [email protected]. Email support is available Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm. Every reasonable effort will be made to respond during these hours; however, response times may vary depending on demand.

Classes are delivered live and are not routinely recorded.

Cancellation or Rescheduling of Classes by LC Maths by Dr Áine Nolan

In the unlikely event that a scheduled class cannot take place due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, parents/guardians and students will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.

A replacement class will be arranged as soon as reasonably practicable, and details of the replacement class will be communicated as soon as possible.

Accessing Classes & Class Materials

All classes are delivered live online via Zoom and can be accessed through our Student Portal. Log-in details are provided after registration.

Students are responsible for joining the correct class at the scheduled time and for ensuring they have the necessary equipment and internet connection to participate.

Class Materials and other learning resources will be made available within our Google Drive class folder. Details of how to access these materials will be provided to students in advance.

Students should ensure they can access the Student Portal and Google Drive and have any necessary materials available before each class begins to allow lessons to run smoothly.

Access to Class Materials is restricted to students enrolled in the relevant weekly classes. All Class Materials are provided solely for the student's personal educational use and must not be copied, shared, reproduced, distributed or made available to any third party without the prior written permission of LC Maths by Dr Áine Nolan.

Homework, Feedback & Personalised Support

Homework forms an important part of the learning process. It is designed to reinforce concepts covered during class, develop students' independent problem-solving skills and prepare them for class tests, mock exams and ultimately the Leaving Certificate.

Homework is assigned weekly and reviewed during the following class. Feedback is provided to support each student's learning, reinforce understanding and identify areas for improvement.

Written work is uploaded to the students personal Google folder.

Student & Parent Support

At LC Maths by Dr Áine Nolan, we believe that regular communication and ongoing support play an important role in helping students build confidence and make consistent progress in Maths.

Students are encouraged to ask questions during their weekly class whenever they need clarification or additional support. They are also welcome to contact me by email at [email protected] between classes if they require clarification on concepts covered during lessons or have questions relating to assigned homework.

Email support is available Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm. Every reasonable effort will be made to respond within these hours; however, response times may vary depending on teaching commitments and demand.

Student Email Support is intended to complement the weekly classes and should not be regarded as a substitute for attending classes, completing independent study or receiving additional tuition.

If a student requires more extensive support outside of the weekly classes, additional tuition or support sessions may be arranged, subject to availability and any applicable fees.

Parents and guardians are welcome to email me to discuss their child's progress or any other queries. Where appropriate, a phone call may be arranged. Regular email/WhatsApp updates and feedback will be provided to parents throughout the academic year.

WhatsApp Communication

From time to time, LC Maths by Dr Áine Nolan may use WhatsApp to communicate important information regarding classes.

The WhatsApp group is intended solely for announcements made by LC Maths by Dr Áine Nolan.

Parents and students will not be able to reply within the group. Any questions or queries should be directed by emailing [email protected].

Class Materials

Students enrolled in the weekly class subscription and ongoing monthly memberships will receive the class materials and learning resources appropriate to each lesson. These will be available weekly within our Google drive class folders.

Depending on the lesson, these materials may include class notes, worksheets, worked examples, carefully selected practice questions or other teaching resources. As Maths requires active problem-solving, some lessons focus primarily on guided examples, exam questions and discussion.

All class materials are provided solely to support students enrolled in our weekly classes and are for the student's personal educational use only.
